Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, softened butter, eggs, and milk. Mix until a soft, smooth dough forms.
Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls and roll each ball in granulated or sanding sugar until fully coated.
Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, just until the cookies are set but still soft in the center.
Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
