Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups walnut halves
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, stir together maple syrup, ginger, paprika, cayenne, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the walnuts and gently toss until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the walnuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until fragrant and lightly caramelized.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow the walnuts to cool completely; they will crisp as they cool.
  7. Break apart any clusters once cooled and serve or store.
