Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment for easy removal.
In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg, honey, and vanilla extract; whisk until everything is fully combined.
Stir in the flour, salt, and half (½) of the cinnamon until just blended — don’t overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top evenly.
In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar with the remaining ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle this cinnamon-sugar mix evenly over the batter.
Bake for about 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay). Edges should be slightly set, and top lightly golden.
Let the dessert cool completely in the pan; this helps it set and makes slicing into neat squares easier.
