  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers about 30 crackers, crushed into coarse crumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated preferred for better melt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted, around 113 g

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup approximately 300 g
  • ½ cup chicken broth low sodium recommended

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter until evenly coated
  4. Spread the sour cream evenly over the chicken, making sure each piece is well covered
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until smooth
  6. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring it seeps into all areas
  7. Sprinkle the buttery cracker mixture generously over the top to form a thick, even layer
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the topping is golden brown
  9. Remove from the oven and allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before serving
