Ingredients
  

  • lbs chicken breasts or thighs cut into bite-size pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Season the chicken pieces lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and vinegar.
  5. Pour the sauce into the same skillet and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir cornstarch with water, then add it to the sauce to thicken.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss until fully coated.
  8. Simmer briefly until the sauce is glossy and sticky, then remove from heat.
