Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the lasagna noodles in salted boiling water until just tender. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
Stir the pasta sauce, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano into the beef. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese and egg until smooth.
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
Layer noodles over the sauce, followed by ricotta mixture, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
