Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450 g thinly sliced sirloin or flank steak – tender and flavorful
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil – for cooking
  • 1 green bell pepper – sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper – sliced
  • 1 small onion – thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic – minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt – to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper – freshly ground
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder – for extra flavor
  • 2 oz 60 g cream cheese – for creaminess
  • ½ cup 120 ml beef broth – creates sauce
  • 1 cup 100 g shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese – melted topping
  • Optional: ½ cup mushrooms – sliced
  • Optional: fresh parsley – for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
  2. Add sliced peppers, onions, and mushrooms (if using), sauté until softened
  3. Remove vegetables and set aside
  4. In the same skillet, add beef and cook until browned and tender
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
  6. Add minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant
  7. Pour in beef broth and stir to deglaze the pan
  8. Add cream cheese and stir until melted into a creamy sauce
  9. Return vegetables to the skillet and mix well
  10. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top
  11. Cover and cook on low until cheese is melted and bubbly
  12. Garnish with parsley and serve hot
