Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450 g ground beef or lamb – rich and flavorful protein base
  • 1/4 cup 25 g almond flour – low-carb binder alternative
  • 1 large egg – helps bind the mixture
  • 1/4 cup 40 g finely chopped onion – adds moisture and flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic minced – enhances savory taste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano – classic Greek herb flavor
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin – adds warmth
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander – subtle citrusy note
  • 1/2 tsp salt – enhances overall flavor
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper – mild spice
  • 1 tbsp 15 ml olive oil – for cooking
For tzatziki sauce:
  • 1 cup 240 g Greek yogurt – creamy base
  • 1/2 cup 75 g grated cucumber (drained) – refreshing crunch
  • 2 cloves garlic minced – bold flavor
  • 1 tbsp 15 ml lemon juice – adds brightness
  • 1 tbsp 15 ml olive oil – smooth richness
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill – classic herb flavor
  • Salt to taste – balances flavors

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium heat
  2. Combine ground meat, almond flour, egg, onion, garlic, and spices in a bowl
  3. Mix gently until just combined without overworking the meat
  4. Shape mixture into small, evenly sized meatballs
  5. Place on a baking tray or cook in a skillet with olive oil
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes or cook until browned and fully cooked
  7. In a separate bowl, combine yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and dill
  8. Mix tzatziki until smooth and refrigerate briefly
  9. Serve meatballs warm with chilled tzatziki
