Ingredients
  

Skillet Base
  • 1 lb ground beef – main protein for the dish
  • 1 yellow onion diced – adds savory flavor
  • 1 bell pepper diced – adds sweetness and color
  • 1 small head cabbage chopped – the main vegetable base
Sauce & Seasoning
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes – adds tangy tomato flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder – savory seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika – mild smoky flavor
  • ½ teaspoon salt – enhances flavor
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper – mild heat
Cheese Topping
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese – melts into the skillet for a creamy finish

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet.
  3. Cook the beef for about 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart as it browns.
  4. Add diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet.
  5. Cook for about 3 minutes until vegetables soften.
  6. Stir in the chopped cabbage.
  7. Add the diced tomatoes with their juice.
  8. Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the mixture.
  9. Stir everything together well.
  10. Cover the skillet with a lid.
  11. Cook for about 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage becomes tender.
  12. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  13. Cover again and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  14. Remove from heat and serve warm.
