Ingredients
  

  • 4 soft sub rolls or hoagie buns
  • 120 g deli salami sliced
  • 120 g provolone cheese sliced
  • 120 g cooked ham sliced
  • 120 g cooked turkey breast sliced
  • 120 g iceberg lettuce shredded
  • 1 medium tomato thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 small cucumber thinly sliced
  • 60 g pepperoncini or banana peppers sliced
  • 60 ml Italian dressing
  • 30 ml red wine vinegar
  • 5 g dried oregano
  • 3 g garlic powder
  • 1 g black pepper
  • Optional: fresh basil leaves

Method
 

  1. Slice the sub rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the Italian dressing, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper
  3. Layer sliced salami, provolone cheese, ham, and turkey inside each roll
  4. Top the meat and cheese with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, cucumber, and pepperoncini
  5. Drizzle the prepared Italian dressing generously over the filling
  6. If desired, add fresh basil leaves for extra brightness
  7. Press the sandwich gently so ingredients meld and serve immediately
