Method
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente
- Drain pasta and reserve a little pasta water
Prepare the sausage:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat
- Add sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides
- Remove sausage and set aside
Make the garlic butter sauce:
- In the same skillet melt butter
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant
- Stir in salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes
Combine everything:
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet
- Return browned sausage to the pan
- Toss everything together until coated in garlic butter
- Add parmesan cheese and mix well
- Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed for sauce consistency
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
