Ingredients
  

  • 1 large ripe pineapple peeled and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons 45 ml honey or agave nectar
  • 1/4 teaspoon 0.5 g ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray or oil for grill as needed

Method
 

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat so it’s hot and ready for caramelization.
  2. Trim the top and bottom of the pineapple, stand it upright and slice off the skin in strips.
  3. Cut the peeled pineapple into thick rounds or wedges and remove the core from each piece.
  4. Lightly oil the grill grates or spray with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the pineapple pieces onto the grill, letting them cook undisturbed for 3–5 minutes so grill marks form.
  6. Flip each piece and grill the other side until it’s golden and slightly charred with a sweet, juicy aroma.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and ground cinnamon until combined.
  8. Remove the warm pineapple from the grill and immediately drizzle the honey mixture over the top.
  9. Serve hot off the grill or with your favorite accompaniment like ice cream or yogurt.
