Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil for cooking
  • Optional toppings: diced pickles chopped onions

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide ground beef into four equal portions and place one portion directly onto a tortilla.
  3. Press the beef thinly across the tortilla surface using a spatula.
  4. Season the beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Place the tortilla beef-side down onto the hot skillet and cook until the beef is well browned.
  6. Flip the tortilla so the cooked beef faces up.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the beef and add optional toppings if desired.
  8. Fold the tortilla in half and cook until the cheese melts and the tortilla turns golden and crispy.
  9. Remove from the skillet and repeat with remaining tortillas.
