Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions if needed
In a large skillet cook ground beef and sausage until browned
Add chopped onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper
Simmer the sauce for about 10–15 minutes until slightly thickened
In a separate bowl combine ricotta cheese, egg, parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, and salt
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish
Add a layer of lasagna noodles
Spread ricotta mixture over the noodles
Add meat sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese
Repeat the layers until ingredients are used
Finish with mozzarella and parmesan on top
Cover with foil and bake for about 25 minutes
Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden
Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing
