Ingredients
Method
- Add cherries and about 1/2 cup of water to a small saucepan
- Simmer gently until cherries soften and release juices
- Gently mash cherries to help extract flavor
- Add cinnamon stick if using and simmer briefly
- While cherries cook, bring remaining water to a boil
- Steep Earl Grey tea in hot water to preferred strength
- Pour milk into the cherry saucepan and heat until warmed through
- Stir in vanilla syrup to adjust sweetness
- Pour brewed tea into a cup
- Strain warm milk and cherry mixture into the cup
- Press on cherries to release all juice and stir well
- Enjoy hot, or chill then serve over ice for an iced version
