Method
- Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes
- Pat the steaks dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove surface moisture
- Brush both sides of the steaks evenly with olive oil
- Season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika if using
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes
- Place the seasoned steaks in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking
- Check internal temperature using a meat thermometer (52–54°C / 125–130°F for medium-rare, 57–60°C / 135–140°F for medium)
- Remove steaks from the air fryer and place on a cutting board or plate
- Top with butter, crushed garlic, and fresh herbs while resting
- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving
