Ingredients
  

  • Ground beef – 1 pound
  • Taco-style seasoning – 1 packet
  • Water – ½ cup
  • Cooked white rice – 2 cups
  • Nacho cheese sauce – 1 cup
  • Crunchy red tortilla strips – ½ cup
  • Shredded three-cheese blend – 1 cup cheddar, Monterey Jack, mozzarella
  • Flour tortillas large – 4
Optional Toppings
  • Sour cream – as desired
  • Salsa – as desired
  • Jalapeños – as desired
  • Shredded lettuce – as desired
  • Hot sauce – as desired

Method
 

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink.
  2. Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer until the seasoning is blended and the mixture is heated through.
  3. Warm the flour tortillas in another skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  4. Lay each tortilla flat and spread nacho cheese sauce down the center.
  5. Add a layer of cooked rice over the cheese.
  6. Spoon the seasoned beef on top of the rice.
  7. Sprinkle crunchy tortilla strips and shredded cheese over the beef layer.
  8. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a burrito.
  9. If you like, return the assembled burritos to a hot skillet and heat briefly on each side to melt the cheese and warm through.
