Ingredients
  

  • For the Meatballs
  • 680 g ground beef 80/20
  • 340 g ground mild Italian sausage
  • 120 g Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 60 g Parmesan cheese finely grated
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • For Serving Optional
  • Warm marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil or parsley
  • Extra grated Parmesan

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef and Italian sausage
  3. Add breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, eggs, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper
  4. Mix gently with your hands until just combined — do not overmix
  5. Scoop and roll the mixture into evenly sized meatballs, about 4–5 cm in diameter
  6. Place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until cooked through and lightly golden on the outside
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes
  9. Serve warm on their own or with marinara sauce
