Ingredients
  

  • Pie dough homemade or store-bought
  • 3 medium apples or 2 large, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • Milk for brushing
  • Coarse sugar for sprinkling optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll the pie dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into six squares.
  4. Spoon the apple filling into the center of each square.
  5. Fold each square to form a rectangle or triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Place on the baking sheet, brush with milk, and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
  8. Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
