Ingredients

  • 3 cups 85 g tortilla chips, sturdy and thick-cut
  • 1/2 lb 225 g ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup 60 ml water
  • 1 1/2 cups 150 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup 50 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup 40 g diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup 30 g sliced jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup 30 g chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup 120 g sour cream (for serving)
  • 1/2 cup 120 g guacamole (for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Method

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook ground beef until browned and fully cooked
  2. Drain excess fat, then add taco seasoning and water, stirring until thickened
  3. Line the air fryer basket loosely with foil or parchment to hold ingredients
  4. Add a layer of tortilla chips, keeping them slightly overlapping but not crowded
  5. Sprinkle a portion of cheese evenly over the chips
  6. Add some seasoned beef on top of the cheese
  7. Repeat layering chips, cheese, and beef to create 2–3 layers
  8. Ensure the nachos stay below the rim of the basket for proper airflow
  9. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly
  10. Carefully remove from the air fryer and transfer to a serving plate
  11. Top with tomatoes, jalapeños, green onions, sour cream, guacamole, and cilantro
  12. Serve immediately while hot and crispy
