Ingredients
  

Meatloaf
  • 1 lb lean ground beef – the main protein and base of the loaf
  • 1 large egg – helps bind the ingredients together
  • ¾ cup milk – keeps the meatloaf moist
  • 3 slices bread finely torn or ½ cup breadcrumbs – creates structure and softness
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce – adds deep savory flavor
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder – gives mild onion flavor
  • teaspoon garlic powder – enhances the seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard – adds subtle tang
  • ½ teaspoon salt – balances the flavors
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper – provides mild heat
Glaze
  • cup ketchup – sweet and tangy topping
  • cup BBQ sauce – adds smoky flavor and caramelization

Method
 

  1. Add ground beef to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the egg, milk, and torn bread pieces.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, dry mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Mix everything gently until just combined.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf shape that fits inside the air fryer basket.
  6. Place parchment paper or a liner in the air fryer basket.
  7. Place the meatloaf into the basket.
  8. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes.
  9. While the meatloaf cooks, mix ketchup and BBQ sauce in a small bowl.
  10. Remove the basket and brush some glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  11. Return the meatloaf to the air fryer.
  12. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
  13. Check that the internal temperature reaches 160°F before removing.
  14. Allow the meatloaf to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
