Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450 g pizza dough – store-bought or homemade
  • ½ cup 120 ml pizza sauce – for filling
  • 2 cups 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese – melty texture
  • 4 oz 115 g pepperoni slices – classic filling
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil – for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning – optional topping
  • Optional: mushrooms bell peppers, sausage, or olives – fillings

Method
 

  1. Divide pizza dough into equal portions
  2. Roll each piece into a circle about 6–8 inches wide
  3. Spread sauce on one half, leaving edges clean
  4. Add cheese, pepperoni, and desired toppings
  5. Fold dough over to create a half-moon shape
  6. Seal edges tightly using fingers or a fork
  7. Brush tops with olive oil
  8. Place calzones in air fryer basket without overcrowding
  9. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 7–10 minutes
  10. Flip halfway through cooking for even browning
  11. Remove once golden brown and crispy
  12. Serve hot with extra marinara sauce
