Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-size pieces – the protein base of the dish
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour – helps create the crispy coating
  • 2 eggs beaten – helps breading stick to the chicken
  • cups panko breadcrumbs – adds crunchy texture
  • ½ teaspoon salt – enhances flavor
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper – mild seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder – adds savory depth
  • Cooking spray or oil – helps crisp the chicken in the air fryer
Bang Bang Sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise – creamy base of the sauce
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce – adds sweetness and mild heat
  • 1 –2 tablespoons sriracha – provides spicy kick
  • 1 tablespoon honey – balances the spice with sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar – adds light tanginess
  • Bang Bang sauce is typically made with mayonnaise sweet chili sauce, and spicy chili sauces like sriracha to create a creamy sweet-spicy flavor combination.
Garnish (Optional)
  • 2 green onions sliced – fresh garnish
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds – adds crunch and nutty flavor
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro – optional fresh herbs

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the chicken breast into bite-size pieces.
  3. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Prepare three bowls for breading.
  5. Place flour in the first bowl.
  6. Beat eggs in the second bowl.
  7. Add panko breadcrumbs to the third bowl.
  8. Dip each chicken piece in flour.
  9. Coat it in the beaten eggs.
  10. Roll it in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  11. Place the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket.
  12. Spray lightly with cooking oil.
  13. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  14. Flip the chicken pieces halfway through cooking.
  15. Continue cooking for another 5–6 minutes until golden and crispy.
  16. In a bowl whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar.
  17. Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the cooked chicken or toss to coat.
  18. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
